What is G-CSF injection?

When your gynecologist found that the endometrial thickness is less than 7mm, then G-CSF injection will prescribed. This injection will help to thicken the endometrium. Sometimes the use of clomid will bring the ER thickness less than the 7mm ultimately decreases the fertility chance in women. With 24-36 hours, we can see thickness of endometrium doubled. It increases WBC cells, Immune cells that lines inside the uterus.

How is GCSF Injection/Filgrastim injection Administered?

G-CSF injection is given intra uterine. Patients are taken to theater or labour ward or IVF theater for this procedure.

Cost of Injection:

The cost of this procedure is 1000 INR. Cost of injection is 1500-3000 INR.

Pain :

The patients will not experience pain during the procedure. It is a outpatient procedure. Patients will experience slight discomfort during the procedure due to clamp insertion inside the vagina for injection. It is similar to IUI procedure.

How much thickness expected:

Within 24 hours we could see massive improvement in endometrial thickness. (from 0.1mm to 7-8mm increase level)
